The scene unfolds in The End of an Era, which debuted on Disney+ on Friday, December 12, and captures a brief, intimate exchange between Swift and Kelce that underscores how they support each other during peak moments.
The conversation happens just before Swift’s first Eras Tour show in London, following the abrupt cancellation of her Vienna dates due to a terror threat. The stakes feel unusually heavy as she readies to take the stage again.
Before stepping back into the spotlight, Swift calls Kelce to discuss final plans, including a major surprise with Ed Sheeran planned for the show’s surprise songs segment.
"How are you guys so good at this?" he asks. "You can do a little in-the-back-room rehearsal, then carry that energy out in front of everyone."
Swift doesn’t accept the compliment at face value. She redirects the praise toward him, suggesting their careers share more similarities than they might seem.
"I love you. I don’t know—how do you remember 36,000 plays that are all tactical missions and then just go do it? It’s the same. It’s basically the same job! I’ve got songs to remember, you’ve got plays to remember."
