Record-breaking performance
Mijatovic set a new 15-16 national age group record in the final night at Austin, clocking 7:48.28 to win the race. This shattered the previous NAG mark of 7:52.05, established by Larsen Jensen at the 2002 Pan Pacific Championships. The swim also marked a five-second drop from his prior personal best, underscoring a remarkable improvement trajectory.
